I met Dr. Jacob Ashong at the British Association of Planetaria meeting in Greenwich, UK 2008. Jacob had just built the first planetarium in West Africa using cardboard, truck tarps, donated planetarium equipment and an attitude that would never give up.

I lived with Jacob for a month in 2010 to help train staff and design new programs for the Ghana Planetarium.
